Designer Vasilis Marmatakis visits the London studio

Last week, we welcomed Vasilis Marmatakis, the designer and brain behind some of the most iconic film posters of recent years, to our London studio.

Vasilis took us through his weird and wonderful designs for the Dogtooth, The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Favourite and most recently, the Academy Award nominated Poor Things. 

He gave an insightful talk about his unique process and what it’s like to work closely with the film director Yorgos Lanthimos with whom he has partnered for the last 20 years. 

He reminded us that a robust idea combined with immaculate craft creates intriguing, timeless design pieces.
