There's no denying that the work at creative agencies can be demanding. The DesignStudio team work extremely hard to deliver and push our clients' briefs and expectations. Therefore, it's important that we also put aside time for our people to relax, recharge and reconnect.

One way in which we do this is by building teams that have the trust to lean on, elevate and encourage one another when needed. This trust is built through moments like DesignStudio New York's recent summer retreat. For two days, they left their laptops on their stands and ventured to the Catskills. There, they foraged tea, broke bread, and spun records late into the night. They even found time to hug a few alpacas.

Alongside the retreat, we have an annual program of activity that gets our team away from their desks to recharge and find new inspiration. DSNY has doubled the number of volunteer days, introduced 'Away Days' for each department to take stock of their craft in unexpected locations, and launched a series of summer sessions to bring the team together and experience unique aspects of the local area.
